I wanted to use the i3Theme until I went to this SEO site and spidered the theme on a test site of mine. It has one serious flaw I was hoping you could correct. What happens when you spider the site is that the search engine reads all the stuff on top and in the left sidebar before it reads the posts. This isn’t good because you want it to read the post first. So that when you see a link to your site in the engines it comes up with post title first and then post and not what looks like categories and stuff under your sites name. When I spidered your own site address after that it did the same thing. This isn’t good. If you want to see the difference in what I am talking about then spider your seoblogtemplates site and the demo test site for the i3Theme and then go and spider my site at staticbrain.com
I hope that you can fix this or that you could show me how to fix it with robots txt or something because this is a major flaw. I really love the template and hope you can help me with this.

I haven’t looked at the positioning code for the i3Theme, but I believe how it’s designed is the left one is floated to left and right floated to the right. All the 3 column themes are setup so the left sidebar is put above the main content. So to get this working, we’d have to change how everything is positioned in the css. I’ll give it a try this weekend though, thanks for pointing it out!

You are welcome. I am grateful to you for trying to fix it. It is such an awesome looking theme. I sure hope you can get it working.

Hey there!
I tested your SEOed modification earlier today, and something strange happened.
The stuff to use the related posts stuff, even if commented, shows up and messes with the pages formatting.
I reverted back to the updated version of i3Theme and nothing came up. I also couldn’t find out which related posts plugin i3Theme uses, so I ended up maintaining the non-SEOed version.
Dunno what happened…

make sure you have your related posted settings correct. XsportSeeker. u need the before and after each item, you set that in the backend

I was just wondering how the update is coming and if you were able to fix it…

static, still haven’t figured it out. I’m not sure you can really do this unless you change the entire structure.
Technically, if you use the meta description, it should use those in the search results

Okay and thank you for trying anyways. I will have to look into how to use the meta description. Do you have any helpful links or hints?
