Google App Engine Launches, goes after Amazon’s AWS service?
April 7th, 2008 by adminMatt Cutts: Gadgets, Google, and SEO
Click on the above article by Matt Cutts, he is the head of Google Web Spam team, like you needed me to tell you that? He as you know, leads the SEO communication externally and internally and externally he is the face of Google on SEO and web master etc. This news by Google to launch a beta of the App Engine is pretty cool, because it is free, and it helps you work with Google tools and apps, and create your own. I am going to send this email to Keith our CTO to get his feedback, and make sure he is one of the first 10,000 developers to sign up for the beta.
Last year, when Amazon launched their AWS Web services, I was very excited and thought the move would take Amazon in to great heights. AWS has been a great success since it’s starts, you don’t have to work at the Seattle company to know that, all you have to do is listen and read about the ability to get servers, storage and web services per hour and day. It’s gotten a lot of good press. It’s time for bed in Seattle, almost mid-night, more on this subject later. But, this is clearly a move by Google to go after the hosting and application server business.
