Answer to this question is undeniably maybe.  Your rankings, especially for very competitive keywords are always depended on the anchor text links coming from high Google PR Sites.  The more of those high PR site links you have with exact anchort text of keywords, the higher you will rank versus your competitors.  I wrote about how my high ranking Google PR blogs got my friends Yoga Clothing and OM T shirt sites indexed and ranked quickly.  If you have a no name site, and worse yet a not so high a PR, it will be very hard for you to get ranked higher.  So the key is to write great content on Twitter and link to your articles and blogs to your destination sites.  This will help you get a high PR and over time you cna link from that site to your blogs and cross index links.  Easier said then done, but Aaron Wall says that High PR may not be as important, as earlier.  Since he is the best SEO in the world, he is right.  It’s not as important as before, and it all depends on your competition.  http://www.seobook.com/learn-seo/is-pagerank-important.php

I am super excited that our friends site is now within a couple of week is ranked #23 on Google for “Om T Shirts” though not showing up yet for a very competitive keyword “Yoga Clothing” or “Yoga clothes“.  I think it’s just a matter of time it will.  So as I always use to say, have patience, it may take up to a year or so to get ranked in the top 10 for very competitive keywords.  It’s definitly worth the wait.  Also as ReTweeted in my Twitter yesterday sending out a professional Press Release is the fastest way to get tons of high valued links and get a good Google PR.  Here is that post:  Practical Points For Perfecting Press Releases http://bit.ly/2Wi9BG RT@anuconvo PR’s are the #1 thing you can do for SEO!

Most people publish there blogs and then post them to Twitter, which makes total sense to drive traffic to your blog.  What if you don’t care or need to worry about driving traffic to your blog, but would rather have more followers on  Twitter?  My Twitter account has 2,118 followers, and a Google Page Rank of 6.  Which makes perfect sense for me to blog to my Twitter account.  I have recently changed my profile name to Marketing and Yoga, the two topics I will write most about.  Here are some great posts and links to Internet Marketing, SEO and social media information; sorry no Yoga info below:-(..

Blogging in my opinion is still the best tool for SEO, especially if you have a decent Google Page Rank for your blog.  Some of you maybe aware that Google is starting to give high Page Rank to Twitter pages that are organic and with lots of Tweets.  Be careful not to SPAM people, Twitter and Google are catching on to spammers fast.  My Twitter profile page got a PR of 6, previously my blogs have had only a high of PR 5.  Wow, that is a really good sign for SEO for all on Twitter.  So Twitter is an amazing tool for SEO, and number two overall in my marketing book:-).  The problem with Twitter is that you cannot use Anchor Text links, as those links have the best and fastest ranking value.  In my last post, I wrote about anchor text links and showed you with links of “Yoga Clothing“, “Om T Shirts“, as my friends company is selling “Yoga T Shirts“.  The proof is in the pudding, my friends site is already ranked #9 on Yahoo for “Om T Shirts“, #49 on Google.  And, in the top 10 in Google for “Om Yoga Clothing“, that my friends is the power of blogging from a high Page Rank site, all within a week. 

Twitter profile pages are increasingly indexed by Google and given a high PR quickly especially as others with many followers Retweet your tweets.  I am quite shocked by this, as the PR value of 6 on my Twitter profile caught me off guard.  But this is not suprising as all of the interlinking that is inherent in the Twitter system.  The profile name is the key as it goes in the Title tag for Twitter, so that is what you will get ranked high for, not necessarily your posts on Twitter.  So be clear that you choose proper and most searched keywords on your profile name and your posts.  As always, if you are not using proper keywords, you are just wasting your time!

faceBook to me is mainly a personal social network, but it still has a significant value to Google for rankings as it’s very hard to be a spammer on fB.  fB is also great for setting up Fan Pages and Group pages to grow your network rapidly for your viral marketing efforts.  So I definitly recommend it for all of your SEO and Social marketing efforts.

This blog is quickly becoming too long, especially if I want to follow my own advice.  Please feel free to read hundreds of great articles on how to write better blogs for SEO.  I don’t spend much time blogging here, as I am mostly interested in Twitter, but I am trying to SEO for a friends “Yoga Clothing” and “Om T Shirts” site.   They are not even launched yet, but are very good friends of mine.  They are trying to make 100% organic Yoga Clothes but with start with Yoga T shirts first with an emphasis on the sacred symbol Om.  Om is a sanskrit word for Universal God and is thought to be similar to the word Amen.  It is also considered to represent the Holyspirit as in the Christian tradition.

The answer is definitly yes, if you want them to.  Meaning, if you are trying to SEO a site having links from your Twitter and faceBook posts will definitely help your SEO efforts.  Also, you probably have noticed that Google especially ranks keywords from profile names of both Twitter and Facebook a lot.  As some of you know that I have been blogging or Micro-blogging on Twitter much more than here.  Some have asked why?  Main reason is that I find Twitter to be more engaging which makes it more interactive and fun.  That goes the same for faceBook, but not quite as intense and faceBook to me is less about business and more about my personal contacts and friends (I am back here blogging to help SEO for a friends website that is launching a line of Yoga Clothing, but their first line of Yoga clothes will be Om T Shirts.  They plan to have a full line of Mens and Womens Yoga clothing later).  And, if you notice, these anchor text links as I just did for Om Yoga Clothing and Om T shirts above, help a lot for SEO.  In fact, within a day of my last post the Om T shirts site got ranked much higher than my Twitter post and links.  So closing the loop on SEO and Social media, both departments in larger companies should work together, as they should and do mix.  Do traditional anchortext links from a high PR first, then your social media and Twitter links.

Our free Internet Marketing book site is #1 Bing.com for the keywords marketing book.  So while we have mastered the Bing.com ranking system, we are not bad at Google either.  So what does it take to rank high on Bing, more contextual recent links from blogs.  What about ranking on Google?  Same thing, but higher the Page Rank of the site, the better the ranking on Google.  You can find all of these and blogging for SEO and high ranking strategiest that are time tested.  Bonus for you all, did you know that Twitter user name and FaceBook user names are great for SEO too?  But do use the exact keywords.

So what is up with Om Yoga Clothing and mentioning Yoga clothing in a marketing blog?  Well nothing, except for that Yoga clothing is one of the top 10 keywords for Yoga.  Yoga as you know is every where now days, well in Seattle and in major cities of the world.  So our friends in Olympia have decided to start a Yoga clothing company and I am helping them SEO their site.  They are starting out with Om T Shirts first, all made from Organic materials.  The site is barely up and they have asked me to help them early on, so I am not going to go on an on about how wonderful their Om Yoga Clothing is.  They are wonderful people and I met them through a community of Yoga meditation gathering.   More on that later…

PS, just turned on the FIT tv on DirectTV, Namaste Yoga is on.  These women have the most beautiful Yoga Clothing on.  It’s no wonder that LuLulemon the #1 leader in Yoga clothing is based out of Vancouver BC, same as the namaste yoga show:-).  Vancouver is a very stylish city if you have never been, you must visit this gem in North America!
