Product Description
The EdenPURE Heater is supposed to heat rooms from wall to wall and floor to ceiling. It is similar to a space heater. However, the makers of the EdenPURE Portable Heater claim their product can “cut your heating bill up to 50% while keeping you toasty warm.” The EdenPURE Heater is billed as a safer alternative to traditional space heaters because it generates “infrared heat.” The infomercial refers to this as a “soft heat.”. The manufacturer also says that EdenPURE can heat rooms faster than combustion heaters and cannot start a fire. Check this page often for reviews of the EdenPURE Portable Heater.

So far so good

I researched space heaters and decided on an EdenPure because I liked the idea of infer-red heating elements heating a copper heat sink with a blower, that to me seems like a good way to heat efficiently. I purchased before checking out the blogs. I ordered the XL 1500 and then looked at blogs and found about 75 or even 85 percent were negative. I almost canceled my order once I started reading all the negative feedback about the heater. It came in and I opened it up carfully thinking I was going to need the packaging so I could send it back, I plugged it in thinking I was about to be disappointed. Well, I must say it is a good heater all right, so far anyway. I have had it a week as of 10/28/2007 I have a big 100 year old Queen Ann Victorian with 12 by 18 foot rooms and 10 foot ceilings. We put it in the Kitchen, which is about 18 X 18 with an 8 foot ceiling. It not only keeps this room comfortable but because it faces the bath and adjacent entertainment room these are also effected with warmed air. For a single space heater the Eden Pure is doing just fine. I didn’t buy it as a primary heat source but just to take the chill out of the air when the two boilers are down during the night. I have this thing heating 4 rooms which is about 1,250 sq feet of floor space not cubic and my boilers have not turned on yet. Its 45 degrees out side and my living space is 70. The boilers were on around 12:00noon today but still have not turned on yet and its 7:15pm. To me right now the Eden Pure XL1500 is a great supplemental heating source. If this keeps up I’ll buy a few more.

Big dissapointment! My 86 yr old dad was suckered in to their advertisement claims. The heater stopped working after 9 months. I filter all of his junk mail now and trash anything from Bio-Tech.

Hi, I’m looking for people who have purchased the Edenpure. I recently received mine 3days ago(1000XL). The unit will not heat a 450sf room, even after leaving the unit on for 2days, my $25 [] heater heats the room just as well as this unit! I want to form a class suit again Edenpure for advertising lies, its like a car dealer telling me the car gets 80MPG but really gets only 15MPG! LIES!!!! please email me with your story with contact info.

EDENPURE IS AWESOME!

10/31/2007 - Rodney of Ohio, USA writes:
Apparently many of these customers know how to read directions. I purchased an Edenpure 1000 for my basement and my 1st floor and once I set the thermostat, they worked magically and my heating bills were much much less and my electric bill was about the same, just like the infomercial says!!! My furnace kicks on very infrequently. This is a wonderful product and paid for itself in a couple months.

Love this heater

10/30/2007 - Bonnie of Ohio, USA writes:
I bought one last year, put it in my family room. I have a big house, my budget heat was $196–since using this heater my budget has dropped to $132–just got two more-love this thing. I have asthma and have not had an attack since switching to Endepure. I had other heaters-got rid of those. It doesn’t have a dry heat, and circulates evenly around the room. I would recommend it.

Eden Pure Heaters 1500 & 500

10/22/2007 - Chris of South Carolina, USA writes:
I purchased the eden pure LED 1500 and 500 models and I am very disappointed with them. Living in SC in October, the weather has not been cold only a little cool at night. I used the 500 model in my small bedroom and after a couple of hours my room was still cool as if I never turned it on. I then unpluged the 500 and turned on my little $20 ceramic heater and I was warm in 10 minutes. The 1500 model did warm my living room but not toasty warm even on a cool day. I’m sending them back for a refund and I will purchase some better heaters before it gets cold.

Only worked for awhile!

We bought this 500 heater last year, but didn’t really use it until last month! Just quit one day! The “rocker” button stays lit, but no heat & no fan! I should have read the reviews before we purchased! I called, they said to send back for a replacement..will see if they will upgrade, because of the shipping cost! If we get a better one, I hope it works better than this, but the reviews don’t sound encouraging!

EdenPURE heater

I recently got an EdenPURE 1000 heater, and it works very well. I like that it’s quiet, can be placed anywhere, is safe for my dogs, and doesn’t dry the air.

Great for supplemental heating.

4/11/2007 - Anonymous of Washington, USA writes:
We have the 1500 Sun Twin at our home. It is quick to heat up any room we stick it in and it remains cool on the outside. It is an excellent product for quick heating any room - however - these are not meant to replace all of your existing heating sources. Yes, it does appear to use less electricty - certainly less than the 1600w oil filled heater we used prior. All in all - this is a good product, but I’d say you’d probably not recoup the cost until at last a year depending on where you live.

Disappointment with Eden Pure

3/8/2007 - Maggie of Wisconsin, USA writes:
First unit did not work. Sent it back and got another one. The second one cannot even heat up a 300 square foot room. The unit never reaches a temperature to shut off. It runs constantly. This does not save any money because it is not efficient. Remote does not work. Have contacted the company and left several messages. Finally someone answered the phone and said a replacement remote would be sent immediately. That was 3 weeks ago. I have now sent emails. No response as of today. Very disappointed. Hopefully, this issue can be resolved or we can get our $499.00 back. Unit does not work as advertised.

overhyped

I feel impelled to reiterate the bad reviews already prevalent at this web site. I emailed the company to ask why it didn’t do what it said it would and they sent back an offer to by another one. This is capitalism at its worst, and this web site offers a bit of redress. I believe it is possible to make an honest living. Eden Pure shame on you.

We purchased this product because of the glowing endorsement on the radio. I have tried this heater in several locations in my home and it heats none of them. I called the company this morning they were very gracious and told me to return it for a refund.

Edenpure not so pure…

1/16/2007 - Marilyn of Indiana, USA writes:
I purchased 2 1000 models. I love the heat and believed the infomercial when it stated that you would save upwards of 50% on your electric bill. This is not a true statement… in fact I received my electric bill and it went up $150.00! I contacted BioTech/Edenpure and they told me this is NOT to be used as a PRIMARY source of heat (the infomercial states you can turn down your furnace and save…I guess that would make the Edenpure the PRIMARY source of heat??? I am concerned with elderly folk that are on a fixed income that will believe Paul Harvey and his credibility. After much research I have found that one watt of electricity makes 3.41 BTUs of heat, no matter how it’s done… with resistance wires, with quartz, with oil filled radiators, with electric blankets, toasters, ranges, heat lamps… you name it… the only magic here is the money in Edenpure’s pocket!

Edenpure Space Heater

1/14/2007 - Thomas of Connecticut, USA writes:
I have purchase both the 750 watt and 1500 whatt edenpure space heaters last December. I am very disappointed with their performance. I found them to heat only the immediate area within my a limited distance form me (approximately 5 to 10 feet. work well as a source of heat. To heat a room as advertized is another story as I was only about to raise the tempure of a 250 squqrevfoot room from an existing tempure of 59 degrees to only 66 degress in a 5 hour period as the 750 watt heater did not perform as stated in their ads. It constantly ran during this period to reach the 66 degree temperature. The 1000 watt heater did fare much worse. I am returning the 1000 watt for a refund and keeping the 750 watt one for warming immediate areas where I sit as I save money on heat using the heater in this manner.
